Stories have always been about hope for me.

Long before I became a writer, I spent years working in career development, training, and human development, helping people navigate some of life's biggest transitions. Whether someone was rebuilding after illness, job loss, the loss of a loved one, retirement, or leaving behind a difficult chapter to create a better future, I was continually inspired by the resilience, courage, and generosity of ordinary people.

Those experiences shaped the belief that continues to inspire every story I write:

At every stage of life, there is the possibility of a new beginning.

Over the years, I also learned that when people come together with kindness, compassion, and respect, lives are changed. Not just for the individual, but for the entire community.

That's why I created Sunshine Bay.

Sunshine Bay is a place where neighbours know one another, small acts of kindness matter, and hope quietly grows through friendship, community, and love. It's a place where people discover that while life doesn't always unfold the way we expect, it can still surprise us with joy, purpose, and wonderful new beginnings.

My characters aren't just searching for romance. They're rediscovering purpose, rebuilding confidence, forming unexpected friendships, creating families of choice, and finding the courage to embrace the next chapter of their lives.

Whether it's a widow taking her first tentative steps toward happiness, a divorced bookstore owner starting over, a couple learning to reconnect after retirement, or a pair of rescued kittens finding their forever homes, every story celebrates hope and the courage it takes to begin again.

When I'm not writing, you'll often find me exploring the beautiful West Coast of Canada, camera in hand, photographing birds, wandering coastal communities, and finding inspiration for the next visit to Sunshine Bay.

My greatest hope is that when you close one of my books, you'll feel comforted, encouraged, and reminded that wonderful new chapters are always waiting to be written.
